How I kept my business alive without posting on social media...as a social media manager.

Yes, even social media managers get burnt out. Just because you need a break doesn't mean you can't still be getting leads.

I'm not saying posting isn't important. It is. But sometimes you can only do so much. This is for those who need just a small break.

Before we even get into it, I'm going to tell you what I used.

I didn't feel comfortable showing up on Instagram with all graphics. Despite being a graphic designer, this felt disingenuine and just not what I wanted for my brand. What platform thrives with graphics? Pinterest.

The goal of Pinterest is also something I needed...website traffic. I knew if I could push people to my website, I could retarget, build quality lookalike audiences and then convert.

Not to mention the pins I created would last me MONTHS, so if I ended up having to be "out of office," I could continue building my audience.

Facebook Ads (costs $$)

Now, this is how I was guaranteed MANY leads. Every month. I don't recommend doing what I did, but I ran 1 ad, optimized for form fills on my website.

The ad is below because #transparency. And yes, it is only ONE ad that I used for 3 months. I saw a decline in leads month over month, but I didn't have time to revamp it. It worked.

Total leads: 21

Total bookings: 6 (packages ranged from $250- $1,300)

Total investment: $500

*This only worked as well as it did because I was getting traffic from Pinterest and had built an email list that I used to help build a solid lookalike audience. *

So what does this mean for YOUR business?

It means posting isn't everything all the time. If you're posting on the fly, take a month to plan out your strategy. Take a month to enjoy time with your family. There are things you can do to substitute posting and who knows, you might even find your new favorite platform.
